A full-time, school-year contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide specialized support in preschool and early childhood settings. This role involves working within multiple preschool locations and home-based environments, delivering essential speech and language services for young learners. Location: Madera, CA (Itinerant) Setting: K-12 School District, Preschool Focus Duration: Full School Year (FSY), Contract Position Key Responsibilities: Provide speech-language therapy services at 5-6 preschool sites during morning sessions Conduct afternoon home visits to support homebound preschool children (7 students) Facilitate speech and language evaluations and contribute to Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings Collaborate closely with the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) from VocoVision Engage with families to support scheduling flexibility and address support challenges in homebound settings Desired Qualifications: Previous experience working in school settings preferred Bilingual Spanish skills are highly desirable Ability to manage travel between multiple sites; mileage reimbursement available for candidates comfortable with commuting Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate evaluations and IEP facilitation Valid SLPA certification and relevant licenses The position offers a unique opportunity to impact early childhood development across multiple environments while receiving professional supervision.
